This Meters type lick follows the same rhythmic pattern as the funky bass line of the looping jam track, but actually plays a counter melody by using the dominate 9 and 11th chords. Start by playing the open 5th string (A), then picking the barred notes (1st & 2nd strings) on the 12th fret. Continue the lick by playing a syncopated A9 sliding chord groove and resolving with the A11 chord.
