Lesson Sample

Lyle: Listen to the Lesson Sample to hear what you'll be learning in this lesson which is in the key of G, standard tuning. Here's the looping jam track you'll use to practice the riffs with:

Lyle: The first riff I want to show you uses 3 little riffs like this:

Lyle: Riff 1 is how the Lesson Sample starts. If you listen to riff 1, then the Lesson Sample, you'll recognize it.

Lyle: Any questions about riff 1?

roy: What scale is this in?

Lyle: It's based off the G minor pentatonic scale:

Rich: When you are playing that fast, how do you manage extra string noise?

Lyle: I mute the 1st string with the 3rd finger of my right hand, the index finger of my left hand is dragging softly on the strings behind the slide.
