Psychedelic 60s - Wednesday - Week 3 |
Psychedelic '60s - Jazz/Blues Influences Today's lick was inspired by the late great Wes Montgomery from a song called "West Coast Blues." I use these type of licks mostly for live gigs. The lick is based on the G dominant 7 and starts by fingering an "F" chord looking pattern on the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd strings. I also use my 2nd finger to slide on the 1st string which positions my hand for other portions of the lick. The lick finishes in the 3rd fret position of the guitar neck.
