Psychedelic 60s - Friday - Week 2 |
Psychedelic '60s - Blues Influences I picked up this standard workhorse lick from a saxophone player in a band called "Memphis Slim." I use this lick often when playing to a "slop beat," which is a term we use in the northwest for any blues groove played outside of a "shuffle."
The lick is based on the G minor blues scale and starts by playing a pull-off in the 1st string (E). You continue by playing a half-step bend on the 3rd string and finish the lick by using notes in the scale pattern.
