Psychedelic 60s - Wednesday - Week 2 |
Psychedelic '60s - Blues Influences Today's lick was inspired by the late great Albert King. I used this lick in a song I wrote called "Life is Like That." You start by playing the lick to the V (5) of a G Major progression and later progressing down the IV (4) and I (1). The lick starts to descends down the G Dorian/minor blues pattern as the IV of the progression comes around. The last part of the lick ends with a bending the 5th fret and ending with a hammer on the D string (4th).
